The Ukrainian Museum of Canada, celebrates the thousands of Ukrainian immigrants who came to Canada at the turn of the century. It’s a small museum, but is packed with lots of interesting knowledge of the journey that thousands of people made from Kyiv to Western Canada, often buying a one-way ticket by selling most of their belongings and life savings. We were able to see artifacts related to the culture that they brought with them and were able to sustain in their own communities and even found information related to their education system.
