Taking Global Ed on the Road!

Inspired further by this unit, my colleague and I took this unit on the “road” and presented recently at the ISME Cancun 13th Latin American Region Conference/5th PanAmerican Conference 2021 on #savetheAmazon: Promoting global competence in the Middle School music classroom. The conference was hosted virtually from Cancún, Mexico and was hosted as a multilingual event.

Participants could present in English, Spanish, or Portuguese while providing translations via the slides. It was quite the powerful experience presenting at this conference, and during our presentation we ended up having a meaningful conversation with the other presenters about music conservation in Brazil.
